wearing the blues

I have been wearing the ocean all day
home to my monsters and my dolphins
Dancing to the beat of a moon thousands of miles away
constantly in motion
I feel as though I’m always short of breath
mood swings overtake me
waves syncopate to fleetingly embrace the beach
then tempestuous walls of water rise and fall
Constraints can’t contain me
I fight to break free
entwining both facets of my soul
the world turns into a mix of greys and greens
and the sea is never the same shade of blue again.
Illustration is an original painting by Shraddha Rathi titled "Origin 6".

Suhani, tHis is a lovely line...so full of imagery and metaphor.
